    This award winning blue Stilton is a rich cream colour with blue veining spread throughout. The texture of the cheese is smooth and creamy with a mellow flavour and no sharp acidic taste from the blue. The cheese is best eaten at around 12 weeks but this varies from cheese to cheese as each one is individual.

Colston Bassett Dairy:

Colston Bassett Dairy has been making outstanding cheese for over one hundred years and the farming co-operative which was first established in 1913, is still in operation today. It is the home of award winning traditional Blue Stilton and Shropshire Blue cheese.

Additional Information

All our products come directly from our shop based in the small village of Cartmel, just outside the Lake District national park. Our shop is temperature controlled between 12-14 degrees to allow maturation of all of our cheeses.

Every single cheese on this website has been hand-picked and tasted by our in-house cheese experts to ensure that they are truly special – we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
