    Oak Smoked Cheddar is a 6 month aged Park House Organic Cheddar has been cold smoked with oak wood chips to produce a delicately balanced, smoked, creamy, full flavoured cheese.

About Our Supplier

The Torpenhow Cheese Company was formed at Park House Farm near the village of Torpenhow (pronounced ‘Tra-pen-ner’) on the edge of the Northern Fells in Cumbria. Established in 2019, there aim was to turn the rich free range milk from their Jersey/Friesian herd, into creamy deep flavoured cheese.

The family are definite cheese lovers, and when they began their Organic conversion, they thought it was time to share their passion with others. The cheese is handmade by the family in the old converted hay barn opposite the farmhouse.

Additional Information

All our products come directly from our shop based in the small village of Cartmel, just outside the Lake District national park. Our shop is temperature controlled between 12-14 degrees to allow maturation of all of our cheeses.

Every single cheese on this website has been hand-picked and tasted by our in-house cheese experts to ensure that they are truly special – we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
